Happy New Year Soccerttes! Hope you have had a wonderful break over Christmas and New Year and are now settling back into work or school! and that you’re all ready for another great season of soccer at Russell Lea in 2009!
On the website you will find the 2009 RLWSC committee contacts – Thanks to everyone who has volunteered! A copy of Russell Lea’s Code of Conduct, players - please read this as it outlines your responsibilities as parents. players, coaches and officials The first edition of the 2009 RLWSC Newsletter - the newsletter contains updates, news, registration fees and important dates for the 2009 season! Check back often for updates and other information that will be posted during the season.
I can’t believe it is the time of year for Soccer again – but I assure you it is! You will all be pleased to know that the committee has decided that the fees for the 2009 soccer season will remain the same as last year with a 10% discount for families with 3 or more girls at the club!
See the newsletter for a list of 2009 registration fees. We have revamped the registration process this year so you will notice changes when you come down to register. This year there will be two registration days; one for returning players (you~!) on Sunday the 1st of Feb and one for new players (all the friends you have convinced to play~!) on Sunday 8th of Feb.
This year returning players will NOT need to fill out another registration form (that’s why there is not one on this website!) as we will have a pre printed one waiting for you at the club using last years details for you to check and sign. Hopefully this will make registrations quicker and easier on the day. New players will continue to fill in FFA and club registration forms thus making the process a bit more time consuming.

One quick reminder to pass on to your teams is that we are hoping to register quite a few under 6's to run a small sided games competition which will be held locally at Queen Elizabeth Park each Sunday - so if you know any under 6's (can be 4 & 5 year olds) who might be interested please let Jodie Wilson know. W will need at least 40 for the competition to be viable.
Don’t forget pre season training starts soon! The first training session dates are below so put them in the diary! These sessions are an opportunity for you to get together and meet the rest of your team, get to know your coach, team manager and help decide your teams training night for the rest of the season!
